I'ven't found any statements on Apple's position with SCSI support. Alot of it depends on 3rd party drivers, cards, peripherals, and etc. It seems unlike Apple to not take this into consideration given that many Apple users are designers. And many graphic design computers have SCSI peripherals.
I have a Yamaha CD-RW that is sorta not working with X. I got it to recognize the drive before with a 3rd party plug-in of some sort. I forget where I got it from, but it was news from maccentral. However, I wasn't able to get it to burn.
I also have an Epson 1200S that is not working in X. I'd would be happy if they at least have it working in Classic.
