What happened to the boxes?

Do you remember the "mysterious boxes" that were shipped to Apple stores all over with "Do Not Open until the Afternoon of June 23rd, 2003"? What happened to those? Is that rumor even true? And if so, are they really the Power Mac G5s? Are there PowerMac G5s in Apple Stores?

Seems like they were fakes and/or made up as there aren't any G5s in any stores.

But, there was a description of new cases(Germans opened the boxes) I believe in the report of the new boxes, so I doubt it was the iSight. Maybe Apple put iSights in fake G5 cases
