What is wrong?

My powerbook does not power up. When I use Shift+fn+ctrl+Power, it should reset. But it runs with no display. I do not think the computer is starting up though. just the fan and some other components.

When I press the Power button, it does not start.
Help pls
 
What kind of PowerBook?
If you've been adding new hardware, try removing it and see what happens. I had a problem like that with my WallStreet and it took me a while to figure out that the daughtercard wasn't plugged in all the way (the fan went on but wouldn't go off). Try reseating that...
 
Daughter card is an essential computer part (in this case I think, the power supply) that is attached to the Motherboard (Apple calls em Main Logic Boards usually) through a card edge or a multi pin direct connector.
