I'm still slogging around with my venerable white, dual USB G3 iBook and I'm facing the dreadful task of buying yet another (my fourth) 45W AC Adapter. Mine all wear out at where they plug it into that laptop it's a rotten design.
I'm going to need another unit any day, and it kills me to have to pay the stiff prices they still sell for in these parts. On eBay, seemingly everyone in Hong Kong is in the business of selling millions of Apple 45W AC Adapters. However, it took me only two seconds to discover how unctuous those Asians are. I ran into several who regarded the word REFURBISHED as synonymous with NEW. Nevertheless, prices between $25 and $30 are hard to ignore.
Here's my question: are those Chinese products any good? They look exactly like, and are represented to be, identical to the original product. Would love to hear from anyone who has done business with those guys or has experience with what they sell.
