Where did my serial number go?

My Mac came back from repair ... backlight of my powerbook broke down over the weekend ... and when I looked in the system profiler I noticed my serial number is blank.

What is going on? Any idea?
 
If they had to replace the logic board, the serial number would not be seen by the unit after replacing it.
