Where do the snapshots get saved to?

I've taken snapshots of the screen by pressing the apple key, control key, and 3. I cannot find where these snapshots get saved too, does anybody know where on my computer I can find them?

You probably wont be able to find them because the shortcut is "Apple+Shift+3".

You can also use the Grab utility if you wish. It allows you more flexibility on screen capturing. Then again, there are many little tools that help captur the screen. But Grab is bundled in OSX.

They get saved in the clip board paste it in to an app eg. photoshop

by default, they don't go into the clipboard (like windows) instead it saves it as a .png (tiger) or as a .pdf (<panther) to the desktop, as Picture 1, Picture 2 etc
