Where do you place your computer?

This may seem a silly thread but it's important If you think about it.

I have a DP867 and I used to place it on the desk next to my moniter. The problem with this is that as you all know it sounds like a frieght train and being on top of a desk does not assist this. I have revert to placing it on the carpet under my desk. The problem with this is that I may encourage dust into my computer. Do you think this my happen and does it matter?

Hmm, very good question. I actually have mine up on a smaller table next to my desk. Here's a pic of my desk and my computer next to it.

As you can see by the light on the screen, my iMac is next to a natural source of light, which is important for setting correct K-points when you design:

That's almost exactly how I have mine.

I used to have it on the floor to the right of the desk, but it was to far to reach to swap CD's.
