I recently bought an external hard drive for my mac (power book G4 1.67GHz PowerPC-512MB DDR2 SDRAM) and copied lots of files, images, videos applications etc to it and deleted them of my actual computer.
I did this to free up space but according to "get info" when selecting my startup disk icon; I have 1.78GB available out of 74.41GB!
My external hard drive is 160GB and with the switch I have done, all I have left on my computer are the necessary files etc, I need to get by.
WHY HAVE I ONLY GOT 1.78 GB LEFT ON MY COMPUTER?
I am not very computer literate but I know it should be more than that....
(I have definitely deleted everything from trash/restarted etc.)
