Where is Apple-help application stalled?

Naturally Ive messed up a few things while in Root :)
This always happends to me.

By mistake Ive thrown away the MacHelp application. You know, the one with a round icon and a question mark in the middle of it.

I do a search with Sherlock and find there are some "leftover files" from the main application but when I try opening it by dubble-clicking on it i get an error -43.

Ive got the app Pacifist so I can probably (if I know where its stalled) find the Help application again and reinstall it but...where in the .pkg (of all the .pkg) is it stalled? and where shall I put reinsert it when its located?

"Ps:" must have chucked away something else thats important too because when I open up System Prefs/network the list rolles down but only the buttons are shown but no info at all is there.
Dont say it...Im a total idiot, I know ;)

Gambit;)

it is in the essentials.pkg file located in /system/installation/packages of your Install CD. Inside the package you should find "help viewer.app" in the system/library/coreservices directory. Once extracted you should have it installed in the same place on your OS X system. (/system/library/coreservices)

Thank you Rino G3!
Theres just one prob tho :)
...
Ive upgraded to OSX 10 1.5. via the web.
The latest version on a CD I have is 10.1.3.

There is, however, an application called Pacifist that can extract files from .pkg.
Ive tryed it but when Ive clicked on the file that Ive located within a .pkg (with Pacifist) the option "extract" is greyed out.

Dont ask me why :D

And, yes...this was after I had authenticated Pacifist with a password ;)

Mabye I´ll just have to live without the Help.ap. Its not the end of the world.

Unfortunately I don't have time right now but I can extract it today while I'm on lunch and put it up via FTP if you'd like.

Why, that would be great, Rhino!

Thank you in advance ;)

Here or via my e-mail, what you prefere.

Thanks again,
Gambit:D

Hmmm, same error -43 when I tryed to open up the file.
Looks like there must be something else thats wrong. Some component is missing and the system cant find what it wants.

Ah well, we tryed anyways ;)
Cheers!

That's no good, I guess you might be able to look in the system logs to see exactly what file is missing.
