Not 100% on this but you might need File Recovery Software to retrieve the deleted file. If you've continued to use your Mac then there is a greater chance the file has already been overwritten.
I think the file is renamed and the space flagged to be overwritten or something like that ... it's there for a while and can be recovered but not cheaply.
See what someone else thinks but I wouldn't hold my breath ...
