where is key combo to relaunch finder?

I was just wondering if there's a hacker out there that found a key combo to relaunch finder? It takes way too many millaseconds to go through those 2 manual prompts.

This stems from the odd problem that happens to me whenever I save a .jpg in photoshop 7 - the thumbnail generated by photoshop overrides the thumbnail icons of the files before and after the actual file. So what you get is three thumbnails and only one of the files is the right one. Anyway, the way to remedy this thumbnail override syndrome is to relaunch finder, which gets to be a pain.

P.S. Sorry if that explanation made your head explode...

If you just close the folder where your files are saved and reopen the same folder, does that fix the file problem? Are you talking about restarting Finder or doing a log out and log back in? Those are not the same function. How about using TinkerTool to provide Quit Finder option in the file menu? Then clicking on the Finder in the Dock (or most any other click) brings the Finder back up, but your problem probably requires a log out.

Closing the folder and reopening doesn't work but heck yeah, your right that TinkerTool drastically improves the speed of relaunching finder without having to go through that slow force quit window. Great Idea! Thanks
