I love the MacAddict CD's, and here's why:
1) Trying out many programs is important for my job
2) I am posting here from school because I currently have no internet connection at home.
3) When I did have an internet connection at home, it was dial-up, which is too slow for DLing many apps.
Of course, if I had a high-speed connection at home, I would use VersionTracker, because it exposes me to more new software every day than I could possibly imagine, and downloading would be easy.
As far as the magazine goes, I find the articles to be far more helpful and relevant than most of what is found in MacWorld (US). I think the problem is audience: MacWorld has to cater to their traditional, proffessional audience while MacAddict gets to have more fun with their Mag. This can be seen by the type and tone of feedback MacWorld gets...they still have a large # of readers mired in OS 9 and 'happy' there.
