Which Mac was the first to have a firewire port?

A bit of a random question, but I'd like to know when firewire was introduced as standard on Mac's... were the first generation of G3 (still beige) desktops firewire, or was it introduced later?

According to Apple's spec pages, the original G3s did not have it.

I'm thinking the Blue & White G3 towers were the first.

The Blue & White G3s were the first, as Brian said. Of course, this excludes add-on PCI cards that can bring FireWire functonality to Macintosh models as old as the 7300.
