Which SSD brand is the safest?

Hi there,

I'm looking to replace the hard drive in 2010 MBP 13" with a SSD, but I can't seem to find decisive information on the quality of different brands. All the threads I've seen have talked about speed and size, the two things which are fairly irrelevant to me.
I don't need more than about 60GB and it doesn't need to be super fast. All I'm interested in is safety (I've heard from various people that certain brands are more likely to randomly stop working than others) and battery time.
Which brands are the most reliable/durable/long-lasting/etc?

Thanks in advance

You should reassess your needs. In 2011, 60 GB is pretty much a minimal installation. When you start adding applications and document/media files, you will fill the remaining space faster than you can say "Jackie Robinson."

Not to sound like a contrary teenager, but I've been using my current mbp since early 2010 for all my university needs (ie 4 semesters worth of notes, ebooks, pdfs, etc) with over 60 apps and my HD currently has 20GB on it. Unless Lion is suddenly going to be a 40GB package then 60GB is far more than I need.

Well I use OWC in my Mac Book Pro. At least they have install videos that you can use when replacing the drive.
How long have you been using it?

They use the Oxford firewire ports that is has been rock solid on Mac Mac Book Pro. Besides you just have to respect they sell the 6G as well as the older 3G drives. Besides their drive was bench tested as the fastest drive when it came out.
