White wireless keyboard

What's the latest on the white wireless keyboard pairing issue? Mine hasn't worked in over a year.

I've had that keyboard since I bought my iMac G5 in 2005 and I haven't experienced that. I believe there might have been some updates for the keyboard and bluetooth. Might that keyboard be paired with something else that's preventing it from pairing with your Mac?

I unpaired all devices then tried pairing the keyboard alone. According to forums this problem remains unresolved. Disappointed Apple hasn't come up with a solution after all this time.

Mine still works fine. No problems at all. Don't use it much, but this thread made me try it again.

I then tried your google search. Doesn't seem to be exactly a _widespread_ problem, then. I find one thread on Apple's forums, one on ours and one on macrumors.com. None of them list "various people" or anything. It seems like isolated cases.

If the batteries are fresh and computer has no problem pairing with other devices, there are only two ways to go:

1.) Clean install Mac OS X (you can try on an external HD for example) and try there to see whether it's a software problem.

2.) Ditch the keyboard. Hardware can fail after a while. Not everything's perfect.

No offense, but that's kind of like the following:

Person 1: "Where did I leave my keys?"

Person 2: "It's where you left it."
