Hey guys.

I think I accidently deleted my Terminal Application... no where to be found!

Where is it usually hiding? If I have really deleted it, where can I get it back? I have checked Version Tracker, but I guess they don't have standard applications available on their site.

Whoops Whoops. :o

Any help appreciated!

how do you delete the terminal?

btw the url in your signature is a broken link;)

Crap... where is that CD.... I hope I can find it... I wish there was some place where you could download it.

I just dragged it to the Trash Bin and deleted it, then emptied the recycle bin.

Fixed the link! JapanNewbie.com Rules.

Click on your Desktop and then search everywhere for terminal... Maybe you didn't delete it or something!

I've attached an image in order to make clear what I am talking about :D

my friend did this with mail.app last week. He dragged it from the apps folder to the desktop, then later dragged it to the trash. He is a switcher, and didn't know that macs drag the whole thing. On windows, that action would've made a shortcut, which can be trashed. I'll have to email him about Pacifist. I much prefer OS9 disks, where you can easily dig through and pull out specific apps if needbe.

Hey you know what's funny.

I actually can't find my CD. I'm asking my friend to send me the file as an email attachment.

Unbelieveable.... Someone wanna burn me a copy of their CD and send it over?

Harvey: Ya, right ;) You think we're fools like that? Wait for ten days and you can have the Panther version of the Terminal anyway. Or isn't it released in Japan at the same time?

Oh, for the love of... either download one of Apple's 10.2 combo updaters, or click here.

I'd also like to discuss my salary. I believe I'm due for a raise...

Hey where did you get that link? Seems to be down now though. Is that private site?

Anyway, a friend emailed me the app.

That is exactly what happened to me. I have now learned to create aliases instead of just dragging things around :-) I was surprised that most things in OSX are just, one icon. No other apps seemed to be linked to stuff, just like dragging executables around... convienent, but takes some getting used to I guess. Even huge apps like Photoshop seem to work like that.

Unix X11, I have the iBooko G3 800 I believe. OS 10.2.

I think the Japanese version of the new OS will be out at the same time as the states, but I don't have money right now :-) I think I'll upgrade every other version or something.

Well, it's not my site, but the server deleted the file because it's not a "web" file, I presume. I would have attached it to this message, but obviously that's not necessary now.

Most (if not all) OS X applications are packages of lots of little files, which you can reveal by control/righ-clicking on the app's icon and selecting "Show Package Contents." This is rather convenient...
