Why cant i send anything with Mail......Big Brains i need your help!

I dont get it, i cant send any mail but i can recieve it through Mail in OSX

It is driving me mad, and its all over the support site for Apple as well(Discussions).

I get this error message when sending mail through Mail app.

Server smtp.mac.com has timed out on port 25


ALL THE TIME!!...it is driving me mad....i can recieve mails just fine, but cant send, please can one of you mac Big Brains help me out!

Im using the iTools address for everything, it all looks legit to me, i have already trashed the prefs file for Mail and i still dont seem to be getting any better???

Most likely it's Apple's mac.com server that is busy and doesn't want to connect.

Mine does that too, I just changed the SMTP server to whatever my ISP uses.

I think it USED to work, but now doesn't, or doesn't very often.
