we have 2 imacs in the house. the easiest way to exchange files is to simply email them. both of us have 10 mb pop email accounts. tonight i zipped up a collection od graphics that needed manipulating using drop stuff, attached them in mail and sent them on their way. the .sit was 499kb in size. should have gone no problem. hardly the biggest file that's been attached and sent between them.
well, an hour later and still no mail at the other end. we tried sending a seond one and a normal 'test' mail and they also did not arrive. so i started sending an email to me from me and suddenly all this mail, starting with the test email from the second machine comes flooding thru. this, just a min or so after i tried getting mail for the umpteenth time.
BUT, still neither of the emails with the attachments came thru. a manual check thru my providers website revealed no messages in my account. so i tried one more time to send the file. well, it's been well over 4 hrs now and none of them have been seen.
is this just pachell or is there something else that could be going on? i don't have mail set to filter anything or to alert me for file sizes. and why, if i'm not getting it, doesnt' the other mac get a non-deliverable mail notification?
