Wierd second screen

Well i have a radeon 8500 64mb and whenever i take a snap shot of my desktop i get a pdf file and it has 2 pictures in it my desktop pic and a second one that has no icons just the original jag backround? Do i have 2 desktop screens? I also noticed if i drag my mouse to the right side of my screen it takes a while to come out compared to the left side.
 
it sounds like you have multiple desktops enabled on your card.

Try to drag a window from one screen to the next and take a screen shot. if the window appears on that desktop you do have multiple desktops enabled, you just do not have a display connected to the second one.
 
i did come up on the other screen. So how do i disable this? Does having this at all take some of my processor or memory. I have a radeon 8500 64mb running jag.
