will my Mac support iSight?

This hopefully is an easy question.

Apple says it requires a 600MHz Mac in order to use iSight.

I have a 500MHz iMac (slot-loading) with 312mb of RAM (I think that's how much - at least 256mb).

Will I be able to use it - albeit maybe a bit slow? or will it refuse to do anything once it discovers I don't have a 600MHz processor?
