I was hoping someone could help me with this. I was wondering will this HP printer and Print Server work with Mac OS 10.1 and Mac OS 9.0.4 and up?

Most new HP printers should work with MacOS 9 and MacOS X. You should be able to verify this from the HP web site. The print server may be a different story.
I have an HP AppleTalk print server (not the wireless ones). It works on MacOS 9 but not on MacOS X. HP tech support told me that AppleTalk printing is in the works. I believe the release notes for their MacOS X drivers state something to the same effect.
Under MacOS X, I can print from Classic apps. When printing from Native apps, I create a PDF from the preview button in the print window, open in it in Acrobat (Classic) and print it. AppleTalk printing to HP print servers works fine for Classic apps.
I'm getting more than a little irritated at how long it is taking for these drivers to get out. I would email/call HP and let them know that the lack of AppleTalk printing is affecting your decision to buy a printer/print server combo from them.
