How do I open an sitx file on my mac...I keep reading use stuffit, is this a program I have to download?

Download and install Stuffit Expander. It is a free utility.

As mentioned by MisterMe, download Stuffit Expander 10. This is the only version of Stuffit (that I know of) that will open and create .sitx files (think of the "x" as a "10" denoting the new compression used by SE 10 ).

Version 9 will open .stix files.
