Window Media Will Not Install

I have my drive as a UFS and Windows Media Player will not install. I get:

1008:9 -43 file not found

I have tried installing with root access and also my personal login, but nothing...

Any solutions?

you were expecting a m$ product to know what UFS is? the general concensus is that UFS is not suitable for your system disk. you might have better luck reformatting to HFS+ as recommended by apple. Also make sure IE is installed in your applications folder.

i had the same problem. i was booting off of a ufs partition, and couldn't install wmp either - i got the same error. for unrelated reasons, i reformatted to hfs+ and reinstalled osx, and wmp installed without complaint.

it's not just a microsoft thing; mozilla won't run off of a ufs partition, either.

i suspect that it has something to do with ufs supporting case-sensitive filenames, but i have no proof....

I get the same problem that a few others are having, I suppose.
When trying to install, I get
"File not found: Internet Plug-ins"
I have five "Internet Plug-ins" folders in my hd but no file by that name.
My drive is HFS+ formated and Explorer is in the Applications folder.
I l ogged in as another user. Still didn't work.

Any other ideas?

Thanks
