I like to keep a window for Chicken of the VNC minimized in my dock. I've noticed that it UN-minimizes itself periodically, putting COTVNC as my top-most application. I'd like to make this behavior stop or at least investigate why it's happening. (Is there a better word for "un-minimize"?)
Any ideas or hints?
The un-miniaturization doesn't appear to be related to any event on the networked XP box, i.e., it doesn't occur when some Windows program finishes doing something. I'd have to pay more attention to see if it happens on some schedule, say every hour, so that's possible.
I have iMac G5 w/iSight running 10.4.5. The VNC client is COTVNC v2.0b4. The VNC server is RealVNC 4.1 Free Edition on Windows XP Home SP2. The two computers are connected by a router behind a hardware firewell, so the WinXP's IP address is something like 192.168.xx.yy.
