Windows Media Player Does Not Work With Tiger

I just installed Tiger on my imac G4 and cannot get the WMP to open any video on the web sites that I used to get them to work on prior to installing Tiger. There are still those PC web sites that say "We do not support Macintosh at this time"where I have never been able to get the WMP to connect. But now nothing seems to work.
Any help is appreciated!!
