[Windows/X] Slow directory listing appletalk

We are moving up from mac os 9.2 to mac os x (10.3.5), and there are some problems with the network speeds. I’am still using appletalk over tcp/ip because some mac’s running mac os 9.2, and the server’s running windows 2000 with service’s for Macintosh.

When opening a mounted disk in the finder, listing of the directory content’s is really slow (around 320 files/directory’s). Opening the same mounted disk at mac os 9.2 there is no speed problem at al, and with ExtremeZ-IP (Grouplogic) the speed on mac os x and 9.2 are ok. After mounting the disk with the smb protocol speeds are ok, but smb is not done at this moment. Copying files is no problem at x and 9 these speeds are ok.

Anyone here with the same problem?

We have the exact same issues here.

We are testing EXtremeZ-IP by Group Logic. So far it works great.
