It was working fine, it really was. I set up windose to mount a Mac drive by setting up the PC to have the same username and password that I use for my Mac.
But now, all of a sudden, windose is back to assuming control and is back to bluntly (and defiantly, I might add) to telling me that the password I'm using to access my Mac is incorrect, Try Again <sucker>.
I've scoured these BB's for the post that shed light on it all, but I think Windose ate it.
The network (linksys router) IS connected. I can even see the Mac in Network Neighborhood and can access the PC from the Mac without incident.
