wireless access with airport trouble

Good evening. I just moved and got internet setup at my house - which works fine if I plug into the modem directly. When I plug my airport into the modem and try to connect to the internet wirelessly that's where the problems start. my computer gets full bar bandwith in the airport meter, it can see my airport (it shows up as my id - the airport was previously hooked up and working at my old residence) and when I go to network diagnostics, I get a green light status for:
Airport
Airport settings
Network settings
ISP

...and a YELLOW ligt indicator for:
Internet
Server.

This leads me to believe i have some settings wrong or that need to be reconfigured.can someone help? I've reset the modem and the airport and have looked into my settings..everything looks to be ok; I called the cable company (patriot media out of New Jersey) and the only thing they can tell me is that it should be configured for DNS - which means nothing to me

ANY help would be appreciated..

Thank you,

Lenny

To Quote Satcomer:
"Go to OpenDNS.com and follow their instructions to use their DNS. I assure you their DNS servers are much faster then the DNS server your ISP is using."
