wireless connection trouble

I ordered Wireless DSL from SBC Yahoo DSL a few months ago. I will be using two computers connected to this system, one is my own personal PC with Windows XP that is just about a year old that is hooked up directly to the DSL modem by ethernet.

The other computer is the one that I am inquiring about. It is a G5. I have installed an AirPort Extreme card, but the computer still can't seem to find any wireless signal.

The set up instructions for the AirPort card seem to indicate that I don't need a separate antenna (the wireless base is located about 30 feet from G5), but I'm not convinced.

I don't need access to the other computer, just the internet.

Any ideas?

yeah the wireless Modem that SBC gives comes with the wireless part truned off. You will have to get the booklet that came with it and find out how to get in to the modem thought the web interface. And trun it on. Your Mac is right there is no WiFi for it to found.
