My iphone 4 can't connect to my Airport Express wi fi. It recognises it but can't connect. Help !

Cheers.

Need more details.

1. What is your Airport Express broadcasting? Both b and g band or just g?
2. Have you entered the password correctly?
3. Do you have your wireless restricted to a certain number of devices?

1. type this into your web browser to access your wireless access point: http://127.0.0.1 and you should see an admin page.

3. Same as above, check to see if you're device is only seeing certain computers.

What I'm guessing, though, is you have your mac set to "Location/Automatic"? If so, go to Apple Menu (top left)/Location/Network Preferences and set up a new Location, call it "Home Wireless" or something similar.

Help!I seem to have made things even worse. I've been fiddling around on the settings on the Airport Admin Utility to try and sort out the iPhone stuff- and now I can't even access my wireless on my computer. I think I know which setting I have to change back- but I can't access the configure settings on the airport admin utility to change anything. It's not even highlighted! Please help! Cheers

First, go back to where you started from (ignore my recommendations earlier, for now).

Read this support article on setting up a WEP password on your Airport: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1344

Your iphone 4 might only read certain password types, but it should definitely read WEP passwords. Make sure your Airport is broadcasting WEP.

If you can't connect wirelessly, just get an ethernet cable and connect to it directly.
