I was at Border's and saw someone on the internet. I was in SOuth America for about 4 years so I am behind (to say the least). I have a new 12" pb. What do I need to have this capacity for wireless internet and where would I be able to use this?

Thanks in advance

Hola. You'll need an AirPort card installed in your PB. The latest versions are termed AirPort Extreme (an upgrade over the first generation of AirPort cards). Then you'll need an AirPort Extreme BaseStation for home. It looks a bit like a mini-UFO.
You should have the utilities to set up a base station already on your Mac (under Utility, naturally) so it should be rather painless.
Finally, if moving around, you can log-on to a wireless station at a place such an an airport, as well as many food outlets, coffeeshops and libraries.

Stumbler can help you find out wireless stations from your desktop.

Here's much more on AirPorts. They're great. It would be very difficult for me to ever go back to a desktop after enjoying the mobility of wireless surfing.

As for the base station you are not forced to go apple. Apples Airport extreme base station is quite expensive. Check out d-link 802.11g (54mbit) base stations. You can save a lot of money on those.
