Can you take a screenshot of the router wireless security setup page (obviously, remove the key info..)? apple-shift-4 will allow you to take a screenshot of a selected area..

This is a screenshot of the router web page when no key is entered. Also i have tried it where it asks for 26 numbers/letters

I have the same router and I think your firmware is way outdated. Go to the Tools tab and select Firmware. I am running version 1.23. If you have an old version, you may want to update. It's easy to find online.

Note however, that your router will loose all of it's configuration, so make sure you have your wireless, wan and lan setting written down somewhere.

I have v 2.04. I have found the dlink ftp site to download it from but cannot for the life of me find it on there! Any ideas?

Sorry! Managed to get pc and mac to pick up network and they both ask for keys. The pc accepts it fine but yet again the mac doesnt. The old screenshot i gave you, i dont know where i got it from as i cannot find that page anymore!! i have uploaded a new one. Any ideas?

I had trouble getting my iMac to work with my wireless. I used Shared Key, 64bit, hex. Then it worked.

Thanks for all the help. The shared 64bit hex was the answer! How do i set my mac to connect to this network from startup as its connecting to next doors and i have to select mine!

System Preferences >> Network >> Show : Airport

Select "Prefered Networks" and then move your network to the top of the list.

If you want to get rid of the other network, you can delete it from the list and then press the "Options..." button. You'll want to uncheck "Automatiically add new networks..."

Hopefullly, that will get you a bit closer, but I'm a noob myself, so for what it's worth...
