wireless printing problems in Panther?

Hi. I discovered a problem with wireless printing in Panther (Jag worked fine). I use HP deskjet 5550 USB printer and Airport Extreme BaseStation (5.2 firmware). When printing documents - everything usually works fine, but when it comes to photos (5Mpixels, 6Mpixels) - then Panther prints only 1/4 of the whole photo and printer stops. Now in spool I can see that job is still working, but no data is transfered. I tried that couple of times and after that I get exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000000 - that's from the log files. I checked every possible mode of Airport configuration - with or without WEP, 802.11b only or 802.11g - it doesn't matter, the problem remains. It is not about printer drivers (I have latests) - because printing works fine when I hook up my printer using just USB cable. But the whole fun is about wireless printing, right? No I wonder - am I alone with such behaviour of Panther or what?

If anyone has a clue - I'd be grateful.

I have one suggestion. Run Disk Utility from the Utility folder. Have it verify and repair permissions.

If that does not do the trick, download Print Center Repair version 4.0
macupdate.com or versiontracker.com will have a direct download link.
