Wireless USB adapter for imac g5

I need advice on an affordable wireless usb adapter for my imac g5. i have the netgear ma111 that worked fine until i upgraded my netgear wgr614 router. now it sees the router but cannot or will not connect. Help please.

Well the it looks like the adapter you have is only wireless 802.11b, you might need to set your wireless router to 802.11b to get it to work. But if you want to upgrade.

I would recommend getting an internal card since its more reliable and also its guaranteed to work, plus a better range. It also seems to be hard to find a usb adapter that works right with Mac OS X. Depending on which G5 iMac you have the cards would differ between just Airport or Bluetooth and Airport.
 
I just purchased a wireless usb adapter from afterthemac.com for my macBook Pro. I share wireless with a neighbor and Airport wasn't sensitive enough to get any signal. This adapter works excellently, even with 802.11n. This may work for you.
