my I-mac G5 ppc, with tiger only boots up to a certain point then stays there, it goes to the grey screen with the apple and spinning icon, and while there, the spinng icon gets a small red box around it, then it goes to a screen with horizontal lines of green and bluesh lines and stays there. the mouse pointer is there also, but it is black now with red trim.
