won't install "additional ___.pkg"

all went well with tiger install on pwbk pismo 550 . one problem I've found
& hopefully someone will know the solution, is that I am unable to install the three "additional___ (fonts, speech voices,essentials) .pkg" found in library>receipts> ___.

It says an error occurred during installation.

any ideas ?

The .pkg's in the Receipts folder are not install packages, they're a record of what was installed for use with Software Update.

well that was a simple solution to my problem . (duh on me on that one, Bob) ;-)

so, why are "additional___ "there if they are not actually additional, as they have already been installed.. or am I missing something here ? If they have not been installed (which is what I would think)) where are they and how do I install them ?

They are additional because they are additionals in your system install.
If the .pkg are in the Receipts folder, then they should be installed.
