Woohoo for ATi! Control panel - FINALLY!

Walking No-Fun Ball
To my interests and budget this is most definately the very best announcement at MW Expo this year.

From Inside Mac Games:
One very exciting annoucement from the ATI camp today was that they will be releasing a control panel for users to toggle features like Full-Scene Anti Aliasing (commonly called FSAA). This means users with recent ATI hardware (likely Radeon-class or above) will be able to turn on FSAA in any 3D application which runs in OS X, without the game developers having to write any extra code. Other features like anisotropic filtering or possibly even special DVD options might get toggled in the control panel as well.
Woohoo! The biggest complaint I've had with Mac gaming is that FSAA, Anisotropic Texture Filtering, etc. support is not system-wide. When that control panel is released, every single mac game will have support for all the spiffy ATi video card features. This is expecially good news for the Radeon 9700, which has stellar FSAA performance on even the latest games.

I repeat: WOOHOO!! :D
