I was working on a word (2000) document and saving it periodically. At some point, I opened netscape at the same time and the computer froze. I tried force quiting from certain items individually but my computer didn't react (a 10.3.9 OS X on a 1.33G powerbook) so eventually I had to force quite. When I reopened my document it had saved it as code!!
I tried opening it at other computers, with slightly different programs (my word for 'classic'), etc, all the same. All my other files open normally.
A tiny portion of text is still there, but that's it.
HELP
Why would my document be saved as code?
Thanks
(It particularly sucks b/c I won't get paid for this- and believe me, I need the money)

What in God's name are you talking about? Word 2000 is a Windows application. Word 2001 was the last MacOS 9 version of Microsoft's wordprocessor.
