Word 2004 and zip files

I recently switched to a mac after years of using PCs and I just ran into my first problem. I have word 2004 installed and after creating several documents I put them in a directory and used stuffit's zip creator to zip them. I later tried unzip the file on a pc and I received a prompt saying the files were password protected and could not be unzipped or opened. I have no idea what is causing this, please help!!
 
Hi there.

Nmight not be the problem but just in case.

when you bring up the dropstuff icon on your mac click on the dropstuff dropdown menu, go to preferances and check to make sure the "Encrypt archives with passphase" box is not ticked.

I doubt this is the problem as you would be prompted to create a password every time you drop a file into dropstuff.
