Spelling language or the application language?
Right click somewhere on the text document you want spell check to work in Spanish. Spelling > Spelling... you can change the language.
To change the language of Word application itself .. I think Microsoft has made the applications to be shipped only in one language (so OpenOffice or NeoOffice may be better chances for getting the additional languages for free, without buying another licence).

It should show .. write something on the area where you are supposed to write, then try with right click. It should show the Spelling in it.
I doubt MS Office would have it in different location since it's the same location for all the other applications as well, including non-Apple software. :-/
