Word not loading

Hi, I am new to this forum and have done a bit of research into my problem. I try and open word but it immediately quits coming up with a kern protection error message.

I have done what others suggested and deleted the word.plist files after reinstalling office, this does not seem to have solved the problem though and not being particularly technical does not help either.

Would appreciate any help. :)

Your Normal template file may be corrupt. Don't know if it would cause a kernel panic but it's worth a shot. Try removing Normal.dotm from Home/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates. Then open Word again.
