Hello. Does anybody know of any weird Word 'save as' problems arising after applying the 10.5.4 patch on Mac OSX? I've been happily running Word 2004 for Mac (11.3.5) on my MacBook Pro with no problems until this week. Suddenly the 'save as' function in the drop down menu has defaulted to 'save as web page'. The previous (normal) 'save as' option has vanished from the drop-down.
The Save section in Word Preferences shows the default to be 'Word Document'. I tried changing the preference to 'save as Web Page (HTML)' and then changing back to 'Word Document' in case that might wake it up, but no luck, it still doesn't offer me the opportunity to save an existing Word doc as another (renamed) doc.
As things stand, if I want to save a document as another version I have to go 'save as web page' and then change it on the dialog box back to a Word Document, which is obviously a bit tiresome.
