I'm really furstrated and confused!
I am attempting to use Linguist's Software TransIndic fonts with Word X. When these fonts are installed, I experience unexpected quits with the Word Office v. X 10.1.3 Update on OS 10.2.4. We had the same basic problems with OS 10.2.1 and Word X SR1. The font manufacturer - who has been very helpful - claims that NO ONE ELSE with OS X is having any problems with this font. They claim they can not reproduce the problem on multiple OS X systems.
I have spent many, many hours inside the Palo Alto Apple store. We have come to the conclusion that this sequence will cause an unexpected quit on every OS X Macintosh we tried (17" i-mac, 12" PowerBook, 15" PowerBook, i-book, etc.)
1.) Install the TransIndic fonts (4 postscripts and one bitmap)
2.) Open a word document that uses the TransIndic font.
3.) Quit Word
4.) Open the word document again.
5.) Move the cursor to the top of the screen where the commands are located: Word "Unexpectedly Quits" 100% of the time
How do I determine if the problem lies with the font manufacturer, Microsoft or Apple?
