The online signup pages for the World of Warcraft Beta Test are now live! Anytime between now and 6:00 pm PST on Wednesday, February 4th, residents of Canada, Korea, and the US can submit their applications for a chance to help test one of the most anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing games of 2004. Applicants in Korea should sign up at http://www.blizzard.co.kr.

I meant to post this last night (when it actually opened) but it was nearly impossible to get through the registration so it slipped my mind.

Yeah that's ridiculous for requirements. The people writing the code must be getting sloppier or something. That's nuts!

i read that those will change as the game makes it to GM. You also have to look at it that the people playing this game are going to be hard core gamers and they will prob have a good system.

Here are the specs for those too lazy to look.

Mac® System/OS:
• 1.0 GHz or higher, G4 or G5 processor.
• 512 Megabytes RAM or higher. DDR RAM recommended.
• ATI or NVIDIA video hardware with 64 MB VRAM or more.
• 3 Gigabytes or more of available hard drive space.
• MacOS X 10.3 ("Panther") or better

Betas typically tend to require a beefy system to be playable. Once the bulk of the game is finished, the developers can actually go back and refine the engine.
