Hi.

I´ve come across a driver prob.
I can´t Install a system with the current driver. Tried to install apple RAID drivers to the harddrive but without success. I can install the OS but I can´t boot up with it. How do I get rid of the driver so I can partition the drive with apple partition program??? The harddrive is an ordinary SCSI 4 GB. Easy as pie to install it on a PC, but hopeless on a mac.
The computer is a powermac 7100/66.

I assume you tried to reformat with Apple HD SC Setup or Drive Setup and they couldn't help. Durring that process it should update the hardDisk Drivers.

Drive Setup you select the drive goto Functions Menu and down to Update Driver.

You might want to look for a universal Formating Utilitiy like Drive 7 or 'Hard Disk Tool Kit' which Anubis makes I think. APS makes PowerTools. CharisMac had one also however the name is slipping from thoughts right now.

Beware when switching Hard Disk drivers though, once you switch from Apple Drivers you may or may not be able to switch back to Apple Drive Setup software.

Good luck
