A quick google shows files with this extension to be Amiga Warp files. Are files of this kind openable with an OS X application?
 
What are Amiga Warp files? Images, videos, games, text files, sounds, ... ? And what does a quick google say about ".wrp Mac OS X"?
 
If you will do a search for amiga on VersionTracker you will find four or five Amiga emulators that will run on the Mac. It is likely one or all of those will be able to unpack the .wrp file.
