WTF is with CompUSA, and XP?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I went to CompUSA today and actually received good service. There were about 3 reps in the Mac section, and the one that helped me was fairly knowledgable, polite, and helpful. Granted, they were out of what I was looking for (OS 10.1), but I'm much more likely to return than I would have been otherwise.

This leaves me with Best Buy as #1 absolute worst service in the country, IMO.

One reason may be that Microsoft is providing spiffs to sell its product. With the spiff, the salesperson gets cash for pushing a product. Its done in retail all the time to get sales personnel to push your product.

Who cares if it won't work on all machines! It garners a sale for that salesperson.
