X-Serve 10.4 account database corrupted.

Dear all,

Samething strange is happening to me !!!
Let's summarize it :

1. After having installed the X-Server in a STAND-ALONE role, and after having promoted it in to MASTER ROLE, the accounts database in LDAP is working fine during sometime, but seems to get corrupted, incl the admin user, afterwards.

2. It seems to be impossible to take control of HARDWARE, and check the status of the server within the SERVER MONITOR program.

Could someone give me a hand or a thought on the above please ?

The server configuration is :
X.Serve 10.4 up-date
DHCP on, delivery of LDAP Server Over DHCP
DNS = tip.ch
The name server is = hyppocrate.tip.ch
OpenDirectory= OpenDirectory Master

 
What are the symptoms? What causes you to think that LDAP is corrupted? Can't log in? User settings messed up? What...?

What do you mean by corrupting. If it are (only) the passwords, i had such a problem too. It happened to me after a server crash, resetting the passwords was all i needed to do. Doing that you do (as you will know) with the workgroup manager. Otherwise use workgrou manager to inspect the accounts, maybe it is a matter of ldap not properly being configured anymore I (so users can nog login anymore)
