Give this a shot. Worked for me. Keep in mind, though, that there are newer versions of XDarwin and Fink.

There is a new version of XFree86 that has an installer that was specially created for MacOS X. It is point and click. You can find it on

Additionally, you may want to use OroborosX to get a better look for your windows.
