XBOX 360 + MBP on the same monitor??

Hey guys,

Okay I'll make this as short and simple as possible...

I have an XBOX 360
I have a Macbook Pro 15"
I DON'T have any monitor at the moment.

Is there some sort of television or monitor available that I can plug my macbook pro into? Or is there a cable that I can use to do this to a regular TV with AV inputs?

BONUS QUESTION

I don't want to listen through the monitor speakers, instead I want to listen through my Mackie MR8 studio monitors. How do I connect my Monitors to my monitor?

What version of MacBook Pro? I have year 2011 version with Thunderbolt. I bought a converter from Thunderbolt to HDMI. The clerk told that the sound should go via the converter, but my TV does not receive the sound. It does not really matter, since I use my MBP to play DVDs on night, and it does not really matter it the headphones are connected to the Mac instead of the TV.
